Located over the road from the Eildon Recreation Reserve with its splash park, skate park, pump track and regional level play space, the shopping precinct reflects the planting and material themes we used for the Reserve.

Our design visually links the shopping precinct to the Eildon Recreation Reserve, effectively bringing the two spaces together. We developed a responsive landscape design, informed by our consultation with retailers and users. It mitigates their concerns about stormwater flooding and site hazards and encourages greater patronage of their businesses by those in the Reserve. The incorporation of bike parking and links to the existing cycle trail also meets the needs of riders who use the pump track with visual pedestrian links to the Reserves provided through planting and material choices.
